Transfer Credit Policy

Learn how transfer credits are evaluated at Ƶ and how students can request transfer credit before enrollment.

Ƶ evaluates eligible transfer credits from accredited institutions to help students continue their education efficiently. Students are encouraged to submit prior academic records before enrollment for evaluation.

Credit Evaluation Policy

Ƶ will inquire about the previous education and training of each candidate for admission.

Candidates for admission are encouraged to submit transcripts from all prior institutions, including all military training, traditional college coursework, and vocational training prior to the start date. Previous transcripts are typically evaluated prior to beginning the program to ensure proper scheduling of necessary coursework with Ƶ.

How to Request Transfer Credit

Timing

You must request transfer credit/advanced placement before admission to CCI and before the first day of class.

Documentation

Submit official transcripts from the institution that awarded the credits or degree. Only coursework completed within the last five years will be considered.

Foreign transcripts

Transcripts not in English or issued outside the United States must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency that is a current member of NACES or AICE. For further assistance, please ask your admissions support team at Ƶ.

Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria (Credit Transfer Into CCI)

Ƶ may accept transfer of credit for coursework completed at accredited institutions* or coursework evaluated by the American Council on Education (ACE) under the following conditions:

  • Accredited institutions: Transfer credit will only be accepted for coursework completed at institutions accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. No exceptions will be made.
  • ACE evaluations: Coursework evaluated and recommended for credit by the American Council on Education (ACE) may be considered.
  • Course equivalency: Credits are awarded on a course-by-course basis when course content and credit value are equivalent to the corresponding CCI course(s).
  • Minimum grade: Generally, a grade of at least “C” is required for a course to be eligible for transfer.

NOTE:

CCI does not grant credit by examination and does not award credit for experiential learning (life experience, on-the-job training, or employment).

For more information, contact our Admissions Office.

Appeals

If you disagree with a transfer credit decision, you may submit a Transfer of Credit Appeal Form to the School Director with supporting documentation. Appeals must be submitted before enrolling. The School Director will review the appeal and respond in writing within 72 hours.

Transferring Credit Out of CCI

CCI encourages students to pursue further education. Upon request, CCI will provide official transcripts to other institutions at no cost. Receiving institutions determine whether and how credits from CCI apply to their programs; CCI cannot guarantee transferability or how credits will be applied.
